🖤 Her Personal Coach Gave Her After-hour Lessons
Gentle strength never felt so good
She’d finally agreed to a private coaching session. He had no idea why she had been so reluctant to work out alone with him. She had natural talent, and he knew she would benefit from personalized instruction.
The group session had ended 30 minutes before, so they had the entire gym to themselves. It was nice to flip the music playlist from pop to metal, which he knew was the only choice for heavy weightlifting sets.
He stepped up to the loaded barbell. “Ok, watch me from the side and then go behind. Pay attention to my back angle and how I maintain it through lockout.”
He did a few deadlift reps, then said, “Get behind me and put your hands on my back as I lift. Notice what’s tight…”
She seemed nervous to touch him but finally put her hands on his lower back and lats. He took a deep breath, held it, and reached for the bar. Gripping it hard in his strong hands and keeping his lean body tight, he slowly pulled it from the floor. He could feel her hands on him as she tracked the movement. In his head, he had to admit it felt nice.
He gently lowered the barbell to the floor and stepped back. Motioning with his hand, he said, “Your turn. You ok if I place my hands on your back and hips to get you into position?”
Her heart was racing, but she nodded. “Uh huh, just don’t make it weird!”
He laughed. “After all these years, you know me better than that. I’m a consummate professional. I won’t do anything weird, and you can just tell me to stop if it feels wrong, ok?”
She nodded and stepped closer to the bar. Taking in a big breath, she bent down to grip the steel. She thought she was in the correct starting position, but he moved close behind her and placed his hands on her waist to make some corrections.
“Lower… lower. There. Now, hold your breath and tighten your lats by pushing your chest through. Keep that back tight. Tight!”
He ran his fingers down her lats to emphasize the muscles, then stroked the flat of his hot hand down her back from the base of her neck to her tailbone. He kept it there, pressed hard against her.
“This should be a tight line. Now, maintain it as you pull.” She started pulling the bar from the floor. “Remember, push with your legs at the same time. Shove them through the floor!”
One of his hands was on her back and the other on her waist, helping her feel the proper positioning until she stood up. He was so strong that she felt locked into the entire movement. Then, she lowered the bar to the floor and stepped back, letting her air out and breathing hard to recover.
He had a big smile on his face. “Nice! Did you feel it?”
Oh, she felt it.
His hands. His heat… The warm scent of his body while he was so close to her after they had just worked out together. Oh boy… She shouldn’t be thinking about a friend this way.
She smiled back at him. “Yeah, it felt different this time. Easier. Thanks for the tips!”
She started packing her things up in a gym bag. He walked with her to the front door to unlock it and let her out. Flipping the sign around, he pushed the door open and held it so she could slip through.
“See you next week?” he asked.
She nodded. “Definitely. I see why you wanted me to do this. I get it now.”
Waving, she turned and headed for her Jeep in the nearby parking spot. He watched her for a few seconds, then closed the door and locked it again.
Finally! Now it was his personal time for a real workout. He lowered the blinds on the front windows so no one could look inside.
Even though he was enhanced, he knew training took him to a new level, giving him advantages over his own kind. So many of them took their abilities for granted and didn’t do shit to go beyond them. It was easy to get lazy when you were naturally stronger and faster than any human being on the planet. But, as a lone wolf, he knew he had to work harder to stay safer. Still, it wouldn’t do for the local townspeople to see what he could do.
It didn’t take long during his warmup to max out the weights available in the gym, so he slipped out the back door to the space where his truck was parked. Glancing up and down the dark alley, he felt reassured that no one was around. He knew the security camera on the nearby building was fake, with a red blinking light and all. He stepped behind his truck, bent down, and placed his hands under the solid steel frame of the custom bumper.
He straightened his legs and lifted the back end into the air with a smooth movement. He gently lowered the wheels to the ground and repeated the lift several more times. It still wasn’t enough weight, but at least he felt challenged and broke a sweat.
A clapping sound broke the evening silence, and a female voice called out. “Nice!! How can you do that?”
Startled, he spun around to see who it was. It was her.
What in the hell? Why did she come back?
“Sunny! Ummm… what are you doing back here?! I thought you left.”
“I tried the front door, but it was locked. I was gonna leave a note on your truck but kinda got distracted by your little show here. You still haven’t answered my question, though.”
He made a vague gesture with his hands. “Oh, you know. You get pretty strong when you train every day and lift weights for a living. I don’t have much of a social life, so… I, uh, lift a lot. But hey, do me a favor. Please don’t mention this to anyone else, ok? I don’t want people looking at me like I’m some freak.”
Her huge, beautiful eyes were dancing. She cocked her pretty head to one side, squinted, and looked at him with a little smirk.
“I’ll tell you what. If you go to dinner with me tomorrow night, I will keep your little secret. I’ll even buy.”
Lucas blinked a few times in surprise, then frowned. “Oh, Sunny. I’d love to do that, but I can’t. It would be inappropriate for me to go on a date with a client from the gym. I really like you… a lot. But I can’t go out to dinner with a client, especially in a town this small.”
Her face flushed with embarrassment. “Oh, I see. Ok, it was just as friends, anyway. But, I get it.”
She quickly turned and walked away into the darkness of the alley.
He called after her. “Hey, Sunny! Please don’t be upset!”
But she was already gone…
