Darkness is descending

But not the usual despair

The hint of autumn winds

Rustling fragile red leaves

Knowing they will soon fall

Crunching beneath our feet

As we wander dim paths

And feel delightful shivers

With unseen eyes watching

From abandoned houses

And forgotten graves
